The companies Ingeniería tecnológica y Digital del Norte, S.L. (INTEDIG) and the Fundación Centro Tecnológico de Componentes (CTC), responsible for the AIRDRONE PORT SECURITY SYSTEMS project, subsidized by the Ports 4.0 Fund of Puertos del Estado, have carried out the final demonstration of the pilot at the facilities of the Port of Santander. The test was attended by representatives of the Innovation Area of Puertos del Estado, as well as the Port Authority of Santander, facilitating agent of the project.

The AIRDRONE project was a beneficiary of the 1st call for pre-commercial projects of Ports 4.0, an initiative of Puertos del Estado. The purpose of the project is to carry out the development and implementation of a system based on the use of RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) with the aim of improving security in seaports, complementing the functions of ground equipment and amplifying its monitoring and continuous surveillance capabilities through modern Artificial Intelligence tools. Some of the applications of the project are the surveillance and monitoring of the port area, through the detection and tracking of intruders and suspicious behavior.

During the course of the project and for the final demonstration, tests were carried out in a real environment at the SESTISAN facilities in the Port of Santander.
