As part of the International Logistics Exhibition (SIL), the Port of Barcelona hosted a conference dedicated to Ports 4.0, highlighting its role as a driver of technological and sustainable transformation in Spanish ports. Under the title “Ports 4.0. Innovative commercial projects for the port community”, real cases of success driven by the program were presented.

During the session, moderated by Carles Rua, Head of Innovation at the Port of Barcelona, representatives from Gandolapp, Siport21 and COACAB shared their experiences in developing innovative solutions thanks to the support of Ports 4.0. From digital customs platforms to ship monitoring systems, the projects demonstrated the tangible impact of the program in the port environment.

The speakers agreed in highlighting the rigor and sectorial orientation of the fund, as well as the added value it brings in terms of visibility, networking and collaboration with port authorities. The day reaffirmed Ports 4.0 ‘s commitment to open innovation and its key role in the evolution towards smarter, safer and more sustainable ports.
