Ports 4.0?
The PORTS 4.0. capital fund aims to generate an open innovative ecosystem that allows contact and knowledge of the challenges and the functioning of the logistics-port sector to entrepreneurs, researchers, start-ups, university spin-offs, small and medium-sized technology companies and large corporations..
The objective is to promote and contribute to the development of innovative technological solutions – be they products, services or processes – through the application of new enabling technologies of the new economy in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in order to improve competitiveness, efficiency, sustainability decarbonization, and safety of the Spanish logistics-port sector, as well as boosting its digitalization process.
¿Who can participate?
The Bottom Ports 4.0 Fund, driven by the TradeTech ecosystem, is designed to support entrepreneurs and companies, both national and international, who have innovative ideas or projects capable of transforming the logistics-port sector and trade in general. The initiative seeks to enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness of the sector, promoting projects with a clear focus on growth in the market, including intra-entrepreneurship within the Port Authorities and State Ports.
This fund supports all stages of the innovation process. The company’s core competencies range from ideation and validation to acceleration, prototyping, and scale-up. It is not limited exclusively to disruptive technologies but also encompasses the development of more efficient processes and innovative business models, with a focus on key verticals of the 4.0 economy, such as Big Data, IoT, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Cybersecurity, Digital Twin, 3D Printing, Robotics, Automation, Biotechnology, and Nanotechnology.
