The consortium integrated by the companies RKL Integral SCP, Barbara IoT and Key Networks ICT SL, together with the collaboration of the Port Authority of Bilbao and Seville, has carried out the final demonstration of the pilot of the project “GSSC. Global Safety & Security Center” project, within the framework of the Ports 4.0 program, an initiative of Puertos del Estado.
The objective of the project is to unify in a single platform the management of cyber-physical risks in port infrastructures, enabling predictive governance and automated response to security incidents, using advanced Artificial Intelligence, IoT and Edge Computing technologies.
It is a PaaS (Platform as a Service) platform that integrates real-time data capture through industrial edge nodes physically installed in the port. These nodes allow filtering and local processing of information from critical systems such as access control, video surveillance cameras (CCTV) and tracking of dangerous goods by land, anticipating possible incidents.
The solution is presented as an intelligent dashboard that allows visualizing the dynamic risk level of assets and automating operational procedures through digitized workflows, overcoming the fragmented and manual management of traditional control centers.
The demonstration took place at the facilities of the Port Authority of Bilbao, where the system was validated in a real environment and its ability to manage risks on all types of assets through IoT data in real time, intelligently automate the processes of action in crisis situations and business continuity, support decision making without human error thanks to artificial intelligence techniques and display all the results in a Visual Analytics dashboard was demonstrated. In addition, the development is based on Open Source technologies complemented with Open Innovation solutions and allows justifying the return on investment through the optimization of resources.
