The deadline for submitting applications is two months for the Ideas program and three months for the Commercial Phase Projects program.
The Official State Gazette (BOE) has published, today, December 28, 2023 The new call of the Ports 4.0 fund for its Commercial Ideas and Projects programs. This call regulates the granting, by Puertos del Estado, of public aid within the framework of the Plan for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship for Innovation in the Port Sector. The Regulatory Bases of this call are governed by the same ministerial order as the previous call.

The endowment of this call for the financing of Commercial Ideas and Projects amounts to €6,750,000 for the period of validity of the same, distributed as follows:
- IDEAS: 750.000 €, 105,000 will be allocated to intra-entrepreneurship. Grants for this modality may be applied for until February 29, 2024 .
- COMMERCIAL PROJECTS: 6.000.000 €. The deadline for your application is until April 1, 2024.
Regarding the requirements of Commercial Ideas or Projects The companies eligible for aid must develop a new product, service, process, or improve an existing technology with a new innovative component, developing its application for the port-logistics sector. Candidates must also promote the achievement of measurable progress solutions in one or more areas of port logistics activity.
These areas are: logistics efficiency in the field of infrastructure, operational or service provision, environmental and energy sustainability, security, digitization of processes and intelligent platforms and any other innovative product, service or process with an impact on the port logistics sector or on the nautical or fishing port sector.
In addition, the Idea or Business Project presented must have a certain innovative component, demonstrable and clearly delimitedThe company’s activities, at least in terms of their scope, content and costs, as well as their lack of national and international application for the sector. This innovative component of the applications must represent at least 50% of the total budget, even if this percentage exceeds the funding limits established for each type of project.
