The companies DETEKTIA EARTH SURFACE MONITORING and DEEP INSIGHT, responsible for the “VIPE” project subsidized by the Ports 4.0 Fund of Puertos del Estado, have carried out the final demonstration of the pilot at the facilities of the Port of Algeciras. The test was attended by representatives of Innovation of Puertos del Estado, as well as the Port Authorities of Algeciras, Huelva and Castell\u00f3n. <\/p>\n

The VIPE project, beneficiary of the 1st call for pre-commercial projects of Ports 4.0, aims to anticipate structural or economic failures in ports through the use of advanced technologies such as satellite RADAR, Artificial Intelligence and data management platforms. These tools make it possible to detect deformations or displacements in port infrastructure with millimeter precision, without the need for land-based instrumentation, thus improving risk and vulnerability management. <\/p>\n

During the demonstration, use cases were presented in the ports of Huelva, Algeciras and Castell\u00f3n, showing how DInSAR technology and AI can detect ground deformations with millimeter precision. The results obtained have been positive, highlighting the usefulness of the solution for port management. <\/p>\n
